MacGuffin Theatre & Film Company presents Masters at MacGuffin featuring a master class lead by Broadway and international actress, Natalie Weiss. Her focus will be on 'breaking down the riffs' when it comes to musical theatre vocal auditions. Part 1 will be an interview about her theatrical career. Part 2 will feature a critique of 8 MacGuffin actors who will perform their prepared auditions. The class is open to everyone, especially young actors. See the website for the audition date.
In August, Natalie Weiss completed a 2 1/2 year run performing multiple ensemble roles on the Les Misérables 25th anniversary tour. In 2010, she made her Broadway debut understudying the Menonettes in Everyday Rapture, starring Sherie Rene Scott. She also performed in the ensemble and understudied Elphaba in the 2nd national tour of Wicked. Natalie was an American Idol season 4 semi-finalist, has performed the National Anthem at Cowboys & Shea Stadiums, but is most well known for her Youtube videos. She has gained an international following from her performance videos & popular web series, “Breaking Down The Riffs”, which have collectively reached over 3 million views. Natalie released her self-titled debut CD in early 2011 and has been giving sold out solo concerts and master classes across the country. Her most recent NYC solo concert was at 54 Below this past January.
